We support the economy of Springfield, of Missouri and of the Midwest. We try to limit our carbon footprint and are committed to contributing to our sustainable community. We encourage you to buy and dine local. Sure, we want to help sustain our local suppliers and to build our restaurant. But it wouldn’t work if you don’t benefit. Not local? Come by when you’re in town and you’ll feel at home in no time.

Sustainable

We pledge to match the beauty of the Ozarks and to maintain the healthy lifestyle Springfield restaurant-goers want. FARMERS Gastropub is committed to going green and being sustainable. Working with C-Street Green and Urban Districts Alliance, we are committed to following the charter including recycling, conserving, using healthy and local products when possible for our meals (we even have our own herb garden on the patio!) and working with volunteer groups to do our part to “green” Jefferson Avenue and Downtown.

Naturally, that means what we serve is fresh, in season and really tasty.

Yes, it’s healthy (that’s good) and often it’s organic. But mostly, at Farmers Gastropub, food just tastes better.

Our farmers know the seeds and the soil and the seasons so they can plant the right crops, raise seedlings with gentle hands and bring to us vegetables fresh from harvest.

For our ranchers, it means raising natural animals that are grass or free-range fed and not pumped with steroids. Our steaks, pork, chicken and duck are always tastier as a result. And our sausages are made according to our own recipes.

We regularly visit our producers and are always challenging them to bring the best to your table.
