				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This is a good weekend to be in Downtown Springfield in spite of the weather! We have the food and drink specials to add to the festivities.</p>
<p>May 3 is First Friday Artwalk.  Bill Baunauch will be in the pub creating his signature chalk art drawings.  There will be some finished ones too on display and for sale.  Start your artwalk with us and meet Bill Baunauch.  Our special for the night will be Gumbo Ya Ya and New Orleans Style Dirty Rice.  Chef Aaron’s using our local chicken, sausages, Missouri grown non-GMA rice and some other unusual ingredients (ask Chef Aaron) to create this Authentic Cajun Classic!  Full of flavor!  We think you will love it!</p>
<p>May 4 and 5 is Artsfest on Walnut Street and Cinco de Mayo.  Two for the price of one so to speak!  Springfield can be very proud to have the 33<sup>rd</sup> annual Artsfest which is the largest fine arts festival in Southwest Missouri.   Check it out: <a href="http://www.springfieldartsfest.org/about/">http://www.springfieldartsfest.org/about/</a></p>
<p>We will serve carnitas (pork tacos) with corn tortillas, beans, house-made salsa  and relish served with more Dirty Rice. We&#8217;re planning on using lots of hydroponic tomatoes from Quickley Produce and Ozark Mountain Farm, spinach from our friends at Fassnight Creek Farm and we cannot wait to serve asparagus from Thayer Farms!  That&#8217;s just to name a few of the wonderful local farmers who will have spinach, leeks, spring onions, chives, asparagus and other fresh produce for us. Picked the morning we get it!  We hope you will get out to the Farmers Markets this month and when you aren&#8217;t cooking at home, you will be eating with us!</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We see the weather forecast predicts a sunny Easter Sunday in the 60&#8242;s.  That will be so welcome!  The Gastropub is open every Sunday for brunch, serving food from 11-3.  We always serve breakfast options, our most popular pub food and a beautiful Sunday Roast lunch special.  But on Easter Sunday, we have a special menu.  The breakfast options will be on it like Eggs Benedict or the Full English Breakfast as well as Bill&#8217;s all-time favorite, smoked poached haddock with a poached egg.  The lunch options will be bistro specials : local fresh trout, award-winning honey glazed ham from Swiss Meats and leg of lamb from Sunny Lane Farm.  You can choose two sides to go with the entree or choose a plate of all sides.  Finish it up with made from scratch desserts.   The full bar will be open.  Kids are welcome and kids with their parent or guardian can eat for free if they are under 10 and happy with a Kid Portion of anything on the menu.  Call and make a reservation for your family group this week!  We will post the menu on facebook and here soon.  Cheers!</p>
